So far, we have successfully set up a Raspberry Pi 4 at the lab bench in OpenLab and have gotten recordings using one mic and were able to play back the recordings. We’ve set it up so that the Pi can be SSH’ed into from a remote desktop as long as it’s on the WaggleNet local network at the OpenLab.
Currently, we’ve run into an issue with the recording where when we try to record audio on the setup and playback, we don’t hear any audio on the playback even after speaking directly into the mic. That’s our first order of business before we can figure out mounting mics onto a live hive.
Once we sort that out, we are going to work on figuring out where to and how to mount the mics onto a live hive so that we don’t have to work with beehive audio data samples purely off the internet.
