Colloquium #1: Let's Git it Right / Why you need Config

Do you wanna have fun writing code, breeze through your coding projects and still have a nice shower? Our debut session on Wednesday, 10/9 at ECEB 1013 focus on Version Control and Configuration, two of the least taught but most important aspect of programming.

The first part “Let’s Git it Right”, explains how Git excels as a version control system for code and how we can use it to our advantage and avoid pitfalls. The second part, “Why you need Config”, explores the concept of configuration and surveys current practices of configuration in commercial code, and why you need configuration in you personal projects.
